Overview
WPiko AI Chatbot Pro needs an active license to unlock its features and receive updates. This guide explains how to activate, check and move your license.
Your License
- Lifetime license: every WPiko AI Chatbot Pro license is a one-time purchase. It never expires and includes all future updates. There is nothing to renew.
- Support: each purchase includes 12 months of direct support. After that, Pro keeps working and keeps receiving updates; optional paid assistance is available if you need help.
- Yearly licenses bought before October 2026 have been converted to lifetime licenses at no cost.
- Free trial: trial keys run for 14 days. Buy a lifetime license to keep using Pro after the trial.
Activating Your License
- Make sure the free WPiko AI Chatbot plugin and WPiko AI Chatbot Pro are both installed, active and on matching versions (Pro 2.1.2 needs WPiko AI Chatbot 2.1.2 or newer).
- Go to WPiko AI Chatbot and click License at the bottom of the plugin sidebar.
- Enter your license key and click Activate License.
- You’ll see “License key activated successfully.” and the license status. Lifetime licenses show “Lifetime License”.
Don’t have your key? Use the Get a license key link, or find it in your wpiko.com account under My Account → License Keys.
Managing Your License
- License status: shown under License details on the License screen.
- Refresh License: asks the WPiko server for your license’s current state. Pro also does this automatically once a day.
- Delete License: removes the license from this site. Use it before moving the license to another domain.
- More domains: in your wpiko.com account, go to My Account → License Keys and click Upgrade. You only pay the difference to the larger plan.
License Page Still Shows an Expiration Date?
If you had a yearly license and your License Activation page still shows a date or “Expired”, your site didn’t receive the update to lifetime (some firewalls block it). To fix it:
- Update WPiko AI Chatbot Pro to version 2.1.1 or newer.
- Click License at the bottom of the plugin sidebar, then click Refresh License. It should show “Lifetime License”.
- If it still shows a date, click Delete License and activate the same key again.
- Turn your Pro features back on if they were switched off while the license showed as expired.
While a license shows as expired, Pro features (Scan Website, Q&A Builder, WooCommerce Integration, Product Cards, Email Capture, Contact Form, Analytics, Mobile App and conversation auto-delete) are paused. Your existing data is kept and the free chatbot keeps working.
Troubleshooting
- “Invalid, expired, or already activated license key”: check for typos and delete the license from any other site it’s active on.
- “Maximum number of activations reached”: delete the license from a site you no longer use, upgrade to more domains, or contact support.
- “Connection error” or “Empty response received from licensing server”: your server couldn’t reach wpiko.com, often because a firewall blocks it. Use Test Connection in the Connection diagnostics section of the License screen, then ask your host to allow outgoing HTTPS requests to wpiko.com.
- Features still locked: click Refresh License (see above).
