Setting Up Assistant ID

Overview

The Assistant ID is a unique identifier that connects your WPiko Chatbot to an OpenAI Assistant. This configuration is essential for enabling the chatbot’s AI capabilities.

Assistant Configuration Options

Creating a New Assistant

  • Navigate to WPiko Chatbot > AI Configuration
  • In the Assistant Configuration section:
  • – Select “Create New Assistant”
    – Enter a name for your assistant
    – Click “Create Assistant”

  • The system will automatically:
  • – Create an assistant with OpenAI
    – Configure default settings
    – Store the Assistant ID in your WordPress settings

    Using an Existing Assistant

  • Go to WPiko Chatbot > AI Configuration
  • Select “Use Existing Assistant”
  • Enter your Assistant ID from OpenAI
  • Click “Save AI Configuration”

    Viewing Assistant Details

  • Once configured, you can see your current Assistant ID
  • Use the “View Assistant” button to open the assistant in OpenAI’s platform
  • The assistant’s details are displayed in the configuration panel
  • Updating Assistant Settings

  • Navigate to the Edit Assistant section
  • Modify available settings:
  • – Assistant Name
    – System Instructions
    – AI Model

    Removing an Assistant

  • Click the “Remove Assistant” button
  • Confirm the removal
  • This will:
  • – Disconnect the assistant from your website
    – Preserve the assistant in your OpenAI account
    – Reset your configuration

  • Keep a secure record of your Assistant ID
  • Regularly backup your assistant configuration
  • Test your assistant after making changes
